I know there's been topics on this before, but I really just want to compare three different shorts that I have access to. Where I am, I can't try on anything so I have to do some research before I buy any gear, and the three shorts I'm looking at that I have easy access to are the TK P1, Robo bored shorts, and Mazon ProForce. I'm an agile, flexible keeper, but I'm also a pretty small keeper, and so I want something that isn't going to interfere with my leg guards or my movement. I'm 160cm...

Super-cheap short sleeve smock option

I was browsing sportsdirect.com last week and I came across these short sleeve rugby tops on clearance (3-5 pounds instead of 33) so I ordered the red/yellow in 3XL:

They are made of a closely-woven polyester mesh that I would describe as medium/heavy in weight. I'm 6'2" and 190lb and the 3XL fits nicely over size L body armor. They have a good well made feel to them.

Hi all,

Can anyone share their opinion on the TK GK gear please? I currently wear OBO Robo leg guards, kickers and gloves but am considering a change of brand. I play National League so would be looking for a top level of protection so was looking at the S1 and P1 ranges.

Gryphon Midi Kickers and Pads

Hi All
I have been a keeper for years and much to my wife's shagrin my son is following suit. He is ten and has been training with the first keeper and coached for keeping. We have been supplied with a set of kookaburra kickers and pads, but when he slides they grip like Velcro. I have looked at Mazon Club and Obo Ogo but both are in the range of $250.00 plus. I have also been made aware of a few sets of Gryphon Midi leg guards for 150.00. Has anyone had experience with the Gryphon midi's....

Mercian Extreme Body armour

Who has had experience with last season's Mercian extreme body armour? First cup game today and took one to the left upper chest area and got pretty bad bruising on ribs as a result. The shot was hard and from about 5 metres. But I'm surprised at quite how sore it is. Almost had to come off.

As a result club have offered to buy me my choice of BA. Am thinking of going down obvious route and going with OBO.

But am also wondering whether I might have had same issue whatever the BA....

Well I have finally had chance to play in my kuka gear. I must say I was impressed, I have not had chance to train in the kit so took a risk and wore it in a game. I had fitted it before hand so it was adjusted correctly. the kickers were comfy did not cause the usual new kicker marks on my legs, the clasped are strong and sturdy.. the rebound on them.is great and you definitely do not feel anything from a hard shot.
The legguards fit well with the kickers and no twisting. again great...

Evening ladies/gents,
Another post about new kit i am afraid! I have returned to hockey after a few years off. My old Obo Robo kickers/leg guards have served me well but i feel it is time to replace them. They are circa 13 years old now. I borrowed a set of Mercian Evo leg guards/kickers at the weekend as i was asked to play for our 1s in a friendly. Our 1s play National League Conference West, and i wasn't comfortable wearing 13 year old kit against those chaps! Although i prefer the look...

Whilst it has been a long time coming, I thought I would take the time to post regarding my experience with my Mazon ProForce XR legguards and kickers. I have been using these for about six months now at senior level. I would like to state that I am in no way an expert on GK gear and I have no affiliation with Mazon or any other brand. The following opinions are mine alone.

Is the Mazon Arrow the best gk stick available?

After using many many different gk sticks over the years my search for the ultimate gk stick may be been satisfied, the Mazon Arrow. It's taken me quite a while to make such a bold statement, but I've used OBOs finest, gryphons best, Mericians Znakes, Grays, the odd field stick, the Mazon's Black Magics & various TKs. The stick is very very light weight, thick edges, full maxi head shape, has excellent performance when it comes to making power hits to knock the ball away, minimal vibration...

Is the Mazon Arrow the best gk stick available?

Please delete if not appropriate, it just seemed that the gk section seemed a better place to sell gk kit!
I am selling my beloved Monarch gk gauntlet gloves. They are the level 5 (international protection level) Dominator ones. I used them for about 1 season, then gave up hockey for a few years. I started back this season, but my new club have bought some TK gloves which i have been given to use.

Have anyone used this padding before?
I just bought mine and it not very slippery compare to my previous tk gx1 and obo
then i released that this padding is missing one more layer
both tk and obo have this slippery layer while gryphon evo 3 is just fully sponge

Im a keeper that usually dive and slide.
is there any idea/way how to make it slippery for this gryphon evo?

I did try slide,it stuck and i end up sprained on my knee

Hi, I have decided to upgrade my Yahoo leg-guards and kickers to the robo high control kit. I already have the robo bored shorts and these are very good quality so I'm staying with OBO which is obviously the best. Does anyone know any good online or retail stores that stock OBO at good prices? I know that Hockey Factory Shop is a good one so I'll check that one out.
